How to Use Assemble

Overview

Use Assemble to join and participate in live sessions directly from a training module.

This guide is for users who need to enter an Assemble session, choose audio settings, and use the available meeting controls.

Permissions / Access

This action is available to users who have access to the training module and the Assemble activity.

  • Users
  • Department Managers
  • Company Managers

Training Module -> Assemble Activity -> Join Session

Steps

  1. Navigate to the training module that contains the Assemble activity.

  2. Select the Assemble activity from the training module page.

  3. Select the option to join the session.

  1. Select the browser option to allow microphone or camera access if prompted.
  2. Select whether to join with a microphone or listen only.

  1. Follow the audio prompt to confirm that your microphone or speakers are working.
  2. Select the option to enter the live session.
  3. Select the available controls to participate in the session.

Depending on your role and the session settings, you may be able to:

  • Turn your microphone on or off
  • Turn your camera on or off
  • Send chat messages
  • View a presentation
  • Share your screen
  • Raise your hand or respond to prompts
  • Join group activities or collaboration spaces
  1. Select the option to leave the session when you are finished.

Result

You are connected to the Assemble session and can participate using the controls available to your role.

If the session was recorded, the recording may become available from the Assemble activity after processing is complete.

Notes / Tips

  • Join early if you need time to test your microphone or camera.
  • Use listen only if you do not need to speak during the session.
  • Keep your browser open while participating in the session.
  • Facilitators may have additional controls to manage participants, mute users, upload presentation materials, start recordings, or end the session.

Troubleshooting

Common issue: The session has not started.

Solution: Wait for the scheduled time or for a moderator to start the session.

Common issue: The browser blocks the microphone or camera.

Solution: Allow microphone or camera access in the browser prompt or browser site settings.

Common issue: The recording is not available.

Solution: Confirm that the session was recorded and that recording access is available for your role.
