Validate Mentor

Overview​

Use Validate Mentor to prepare mentors for mentoring activities by having them complete the required mentor training module. This process is helpful when you need mentors to become available for mentee assignment.

Permissions / Access​

Who can perform this action?

  • Department Manager
  • Company Manager

Management Console -> Training Modules

Steps​

  1. Create a mentoring training module if one does not already exist.
  2. Configure the training module content based on your mentoring requirements.
  3. Review the training module and confirm that it is ready for mentor completion.
  4. Contact site administration to add the mentor qualification to that training module.
  5. Direct mentors to complete the training module so they can become validated.

Result​

  • The mentor training module is prepared for mentor qualification.
  • Mentors become available for mentoring workflows after they complete the qualified training module.

  • You can build the mentor training module like any other training module.
  • The training module can be as simple or as detailed as your mentoring program requires.

Troubleshooting​

Common issue: A mentor completed the training module but is not available for assignment.

Solution: Confirm that site administration added the mentor qualification to the training module.

Common issue: The training module is complete but mentors are still not becoming validated.

Solution: Review the training module setup and confirm the correct mentor qualification was attached.
