Quiz

Overview

The quiz activity is a powerful tool for assessing user knowledge, from simple multiple-choice tests to complex self-assessment tasks with detailed feedback. Questions are stored in a Question bank and can be reused across different quizzes.

Permissions / Access

  • Company Manager
  • User (can take quizzes)

Training Dashboard -> [Select Training Module] -> Turn on Edit Mode

Steps

  1. Click on the Training Dashboard on the left navigation menu.
  2. Open the training module where you want to add the quiz.
  3. Turn on Edit Mode in the top-right corner.
  4. Click Add an activity or resource.
  5. Select Quiz.
  6. Enter a quiz name and description.
  7. Expand sections to configure settings such as timing, layout, question behavior, and appearance.
  8. Click Save and display.
  9. Click Add Question.
  10. Select the Add dropdown in the lower right corner to add a new question, import from question bank, or add a random question.
  11. Choose the question type and click Add.
  12. In the General tab, select the category, enter a name and description, and set the question status.
  13. Set the default points for the question.
  14. Choose if one or multiple answers are allowed and specify the number of answer choices.
  15. Configure whether to display standard instructions.
  16. Under Answers, provide answer choices with appropriate grades.
  17. Click Save Changes.
  18. Repeat steps 8-16 for each question.

Result

  • The quiz is added to the training module.
  • Users can take the quiz according to the configured settings.
  • Scores and feedback display based on quiz settings.
  • Quiz attempts and results are recorded.

Notes / Tips

  • You can create questions first in the Question bank and add them to the quiz, or create them as you go.
  • Hide the quiz until you finish creating questions if you don't want users to see it yet.
  • Users can flag questions to alert instructors to potential issues.
  • Users must click Submit all and finish to complete the quiz and see scores (depending on settings).
